Artistic Direction Combined with Effective Communication

  • Our video projects span social impact initiatives, cultural heritage stories and commercial commissions, each approached with the same commitment to authenticity and strong visual storytelling.

  • Whether working with communities, organisations or brands, our goal remains the same: to create films that engage audiences through meaningful and human-centred narratives.

  • Motion projects are developed in collaboration with Suzanne, who's the principal filmmaker and our collaborating editor Steph, both of whose creative approach and storytelling sensibility have become an integral part of AltStudio's evolving visual practice.

Conference Storytelling in Real Time

Commissioned to document an international tech conference hosted in China, Suzanne worked on a tightly packed schedule across keynote sessions, layered panel discussions and networking events, producing visuals that could capture the energy of the conference while meeting the client's evolving communications needs.

Beyond creating a comprehensive library of still photographs, Suzanne simultaneously filmed the conference and worked closely with Steph to edit in real time. This streamlined approach allowed AltStudio to transform the event highlights into a punchy completed film before the end of the conference, helping the organisers build anticipation for the next host destination.

By combining photography, filmmaking and rapid post-production within a single assignment, the project demonstrated AltStudio's ability to deliver high-quality visual storytelling under demanding deadlines.

Leica Camera Launch

Invited by Leica to contribute to the global launch of the Leica M EV1, AltStudio produced short films and social media reels that celebrated photography, creativity and the experience of working with new camera technology. Rather than focusing on event coverage, the project centred on photographic exploration. We explored this new way of looking through the rangefinder system by putting this new camera to test in Penang's vibrant streets. While we made photos and created motion footage, Steph gave it a shape and transformed them into dynamic films for social media content.

MORE FILMS

Stories of Recovery

Following the devastation caused by Cyclone Winston, Sanjit was commissioned by the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) to document recovery efforts across Fiji, travelling extensively throughout the country to capture the stories of communities rebuilding their lives in the aftermath of the disaster.

The project resulted in a series of five short films, alongside a comprehensive collection of still photography used across IPPF's advocacy, communications and fundraising initiatives. The films explored themes of resilience, healthcare access, community recovery and the vital role of local organisations supporting women, youth and families during a period of significant hardship.

AltStudio delivered a cohesive visual narrative that could be adapted across multiple platforms and audiences. The resulting body of work helped bring international attention to the recovery process while ensuring that the voices and experiences of those affected remained at the centre of the story.
