The challenge was to honour this milestone in an intimate way, we worked with The Datai to create more than just a commemorative book - it wanted a timeless keepsake that celebrated not only its breathtaking surroundings and architectural legacy but also the two pillars of its success: its devoted staff and its cherished repeat guests.
The book needed to be a visual masterpiece, an emotional tribute, and a heartfelt thank you to those who had made The Datai what it is today - a legacy in eco-luxury hospitality.
A Distinctive Storyline
We crafted an inimitable storyline, to be made into a luxurious hardcover book blending artful storytelling with heartfelt imagery.
The narrative thread is woven through the many different aspects of the hotel. By using a fallen leaf as a vessel, we lead the audience on a gentle journey from the trees in the upper canopy of the 10-million-year-old rainforest through The Datai Langkawi's many departments, both back-of-house as well as front-of-house, until it ends its travels on the restaurant tables and in the turn-down service.
